*Bring it to class already printed! *Plan accordingly…

2 Prompt Choose a character from any piece of literature we have read in Honors 9 so far that you feel acts as a symbol for something in society. Identify and explain what your character represents in society overall, and how he or she lives up to this representation using textual evidence to support your argument. You must have a clear thesis statement, where you reveal the title of the literature, the characters name, and what he or she symbolizes in society overall. Be sure your introductory paragraph leads up to this statement fully and successfully. Body paragraphs should center around examples of HOW or WHY your character symbolizes this overall item in society. You can have as many main ideas (examples) as you choose. However, dedicate only one per body paragraph. Each main idea should start the body paragraph, restate the character’s name, restate the overall symbol he or she represents, and a new reason as to how or why. After each main idea, body paragraphs should support the example using cited textual evidence and explanation to show your analysis skills.
