2 August 28, 2016— Create a reading journal with a MLA heading and title it “The Most Dangerous Game.”
Describe this place using vivid adjectives. Do you think it might be difficult to escape this island if you were shipwrecked here? Why or why not? Would it be harder or easier to escape if you had another person with you? Explain.

Turn to page 60 in your textbook. As we read, Answer questions A-g that are in the margins. (These go in your reading journal!) We won’t take extra time to answer these, so it’s important that you listen and answer as you follow along.

Define the words that are in the word box on page 82. You have 15 minutes to work today.

6 August 31, 2017—Choose a seat beside someone you can work with; you will be doing a project together. Agenda for today: Finish reading the Short Story, “The Most Dangerous Game.” Make sure that the plot chart and lit terms definitions are completed. Instructions for partner project—Map of Ship Trap Island Your reading Journal, questions, and study guide are due tomorrow. We will have a Quiz and then you’ll work on your map tomorrow. Bring Markers/Colored Pencils with you.

8 September 1, 2017 Quiz! Please use a Pencil or Black pen only.
Complete your Map. Turn in all of your reading Journal with the vocabulary from Last week. Look at page 382 in your book. Define the vocabulary in the box and then do the “Vocabulary Practice.” There are only 8 words this week. We’ll Quiz on THURSDAY.
