1 What’s New in TPD – v5.7 for TAFE Program Diary Users
PEOPLE and SAFETY DIRECTORATE

2 New Upgraded Software - Timetables and Variations
For some time now TPD/THR applications have been introducing new software into any new developments. These exhibit a modern standard of programming with user benefits. It also allows for an agile response for changes or new developments in the application. In essence the functions will be the same, but will now look and feel a little different to the user. New Screen Part 1: Superfluous headers & title removed, and now information details the Document ID being created. Buttons have been moved. Note a document will now not submit until the record has been firstly Saved & Validated. Calendar has been moved and headed correctly. Weeks Selector – Where a timetable exists for a week, the timetable number is noted. The weeks without timetable are no longer white. A variation is noted by being a different tone to the other weeks. All pop-up help and functions remain the same.

3 New Screen Part 2: The activity column is still a DDL. You can enter part of the activity name to get that item. There is now a new copy function shown as a down arrow, detailed further next slide. The new software allows different colour screens to be selected, for printing and clarity. The screen can now be made wider horizontally. The old screen remained within its size.

4 New Function - Copy a line in a Timetable or Variation
A New functionality has been made available that lets you copy an activity line for a day, rather than have to enter from scratch. This is especially helpful for those using product costing interfaced from EBS, as EBS does not send any break times with time from and to, to TPD. They appear as one block of time currently, and have to have a new entry keyed with the breaks. The copy ‘down arrow’ is for both Timetables and Variations, and copies all <TAB> information of the data line. So for timetables it copies, Timetable, Spec Fund, Prod Costing, Visiting entries. And for Variations it also copies any Additional or Absence details. The new line created default the time from and to commencing at the previous end time and requires the times to be adjusted in the timetable <tab> only, and the rest will then be update with these times for any other <tab>’s information.

5 New Menu – My TPD Schedule
This new menu provides teaching and support staff with a quick look up of their schedule in a calendar view, for a day / week / month. You can adjust the view by using the arrows, ‘today’ or Month – Week – Day, or click on the slot to display the event details box. Note: If there is a nil timetable - Nothing is displayed in the calendar. If a leave Timetable, or has absences, these are displayed within the details showing - Absence reason code, and time from / to.

6 Enhancements to the Enquiry Function
You can select for EC1 and Variations by using the <Ctrl> key when selecting. You can either select Timetables that commence from the week selected or include the week selected. When applying filters always note minimum hours of 0:01 to only get the selection returned. Further details of help are available in FAQ link. The enquiry return allows viewing and extract of data.
