Herzberg’s Motivation-Hygiene Theory.

12. How motivated staff affect organisations
Motivated staff tend to perform better in the workplace and show more commitment their job and this has a positive impact on the team, organisational performance and staff retention.
Other positives include:
Improved relationships with customers and suppliers, leading to increased business and better terms.
Reduced sickness/absence – improving staffing costs and productivity.
