13 Design Principles Presentation background: I chose this background design, as I found that my images within this background do not compete with it. I also found that presenting my presentation in this layout to be more successful, as the layout suits my topic in consistency in design, as it flows in a particular design concept which I wanted to present. Presentation information: The information within this presentation came from the report earlier in assignment one. All the information and content within this presentation, is in dot points, as I would imagine that I would be presenting this power point, thus information may sound blunt, but I would be explaining each slide, if in a real speech. Cover page: A simple background design, used for titles and descriptions or notes. I used this background as it would be simple and covered my cover page criteria. Contents page: I made a contents page as it would let the audience know what information would be held within the presentation. It is also dot pointed as it is easier to read. I also made two separate text boxes as having one text box with all the dot points in small font and make it harder for the audience to read. I also found having two text boxes to give the slide more balance. Colour page: I wanted to have each topic page to have images to introduce the topic. The background for this slide had two images on an angle. I found this more interesting as oppose to having the images straight, as the image creates balance but also doesn’t create the slide to be serious, but otherwise fun and interesting.

14 Analogous colours page: I found the layout for this page and placed the images to the left rather than the right, and the dot points to the right. I did this as I didn’t want the slides to look the same. I also placed the red image down the bottom as the top of the slide has this orange circular bit and it already creates the start of the focus and leads the eyes downwards. The red image allows a resting spot and also lead the eyes through. The images have to be slightly bigger than the dot points as it creates a balance in the slide. Complementary colours page: This slide I kept it to the original layout it came in however, I didn’t put the images on an angle as the flower image being long didn’t balance the slide, and to still making the slide interesting, I put the flower image on its side and it allows the colour wheel image to be straight but interesting at the same time. Over laying images also help in creating a interesting outcome. The images also match the content, as I would be explaining the images and the contents. Unsuccessful design page: This slide I added in and was not exactly from the report, but not really new information, as I found that , if I had an image that is completely different from what the contents had explained earlier in the slides, it would create a better example for the topic. This slide was simple, it had the image to the right and the information the left. The background was different as I only had one image. And the background layout I found was simple and easy to understand as well as balancing the slide. Layout page: The layout slide had the same background as the colour slide, however I found that having multiple images of the same thing to be effective in bringing the topic of the presentation back, and also balancing the page and introducing the next topic. Layout Organization page: This slide has no images as I wanted to get to the point of organization and consistency in a layout and it would be simple to explain organization better, than confusing the audience with images.

15 Layout flow page: This slide I had two images as examples and had them on the left and the dot points to the right of the image as I found that it would not only balance the page but also a link to the information and the image. Conclusion page: This slide summarized the presentation but also relates to success and consistency which is the link to the images. It balances the slide and gives a nice flow for the conclusion slide. Reference page: I thought that the lecturer had no idea which link to which image it was so I put the image next to it to make it easier to know that I did reference the images. Also I have no idea, why the links are different to each other, I tried to make them look the same but it just went weird.
