Example: Suppose a student performed exactly the same in 5th and 6th grade. Let’s see how the grade weighting affects the students average! 5th Grade: Homework: 100% Classwork: 100% Effort: 100% Test Grades: 86 78 91 64 Test Average of 79.75 5th Grade Final Avg: 100 x .20 = 20 100 x .10 = 10 79.75 x .50 = Final Grade: or 90% 6th Grade: Homework: 100% Class Performance: 100% Test Grades: 86 78 91 64 Test Average of 79.75 6th Grade Final Avg: 100 x .20 = 20 100 x .10 = 10 79.75 x .70 = Final Grade: or 86%

6 GENERAL MATH GRADING RUBRIC
HOMEWORK GENERAL MATH GRADING RUBRIC 3 Point Response - shows all complete work (graphs, calculations, tables, pictures…) - answers ALL parts of the question(s) 2 Point Response - shows partial work of the problem(s) - answers most parts of the question(s) 1 Point Response - shows limited to almost no work of the problem(s)  0 Point Response - shows no work or effort Students will earn a 0 for any work that is not turned in on time, with no exceptions. Homework should NOT be done in pen!
