6 Homework Expectations Assigned approx 3-4 nights per week Serves as practice/reinforcement of skills learned in class Must show evidence of attempting to solve/complete assignment to receive credit Must attempt every problem and be prepared to ask questions Students are to use their resources (notes, textbook) when they are unsure of concepts Not everything will be right on the first try, but it is figuring out what went wrong that helps students to learn.

7 Attendance and Assignments Weekly homework assignments written on board and posted on website each Monday Students are responsible for recording assignments in their agenda Students are responsible for completing and turning in missed assignments, and copying missed notes upon return to class All homework must be made up when absent Students have two days for every day absent to make up work for full credit Students must make up all missed tests, quizzes and assessments.

8 Late or Missing Assignments Late homework accepted one day late for ½ credit. No credit given for assignments turned in more than one day past date due. Weekly assignment Information is posted on the team HW calendar found on the website below. http://sw.kyrene.org//site/Default.aspx?PageID=4282

9 Grades Will be available online through my website (soon). Parents will obtain passwords & directions on how to access grades in the mail. 80% of grade based on Test and Quiz scores 20% of grade based on Homework and Class Work Grading Scale: 100-90% = A 89-80% = B 79-70% = C 69-60% = D 59% = F

10 Effort EVERYONE CAN LEARN!!! You get out of it only what you put into it.
