23.Vector: an animal/insect that carries and transmits a pathogen (virus/bacteria/parasite) into another living organism; vector does not have the symptoms. Examples: mosquitoes (malaria/Zika), fleas (Black Death/ Plague), ticks (Lyme’s Disease, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever), raccoons & bats (Rabies), monkeys (Ebola)
