3. Introduction
Welcome to our sample presentation, done using Compadre for PowerPoint for Windows 95, a CD-ROM full of multimedia resources for high quality presentations. Here you’ll find a small sample of the content available in Compadre. Try them in your own presentations! In the same directory as this PowerPoint document, you’ll find:
24 Tiling Textures, which may be applied to objects by choosing Textured… under Fill in any color menu, and then clicking the Other… button.
4 Sounds, which are useful for transitions, buttons, builds, or anywhere else you need to punctuate a point.
4 Buttons of different sizes. Use these to take advantage of PowerPoint’s interactive features and forge links between your slides!
A Full-Screen Background. While not as flexible as tiling textures, full-screen background images look extremely sharp!
A MIDI Music Clip, which can be attached to slides to give your presentation a compelling soundtrack.
An AVI Video Clip. Embedded on your slides, video clips accentuate the point and capture your audience!

4. Light & Dark Each tiling texture comes in a dark version (like this
slide’s background) and a light version (like the
background of these text boxes).
This presents a coherent juxtaposition between
foreground and background elements.

A greyish sandstone with tight, veiny coloration and a “noisy” look.

similar to river rocks.

14. Purple Marble 10 A crazy purple and pink marble

15. Cloudy Sky 11 An image of light clouds
both in the evening and during the day.

16. Blue Stone 12 Coarse, organic bumps on a blue granite-like pattern.

17. Dark Texture Gallery With their higher contrasts, these textures are ideal for filling objects. All of the dark tiles end in the letter“d”.
