Sharing information as a platform for collaboration - addressing coordination failure, line of command and better control - integrating complex public services and breaking the silos for collaboration Benefits of sharing information - support evidence based policy making processes - reduce admin burden of citizens and businesses, identify tax avoidance and enhancement - eliminating errors, target solution for eligible beneficiaries, public sector productivity - facilitating faster better cheaper safer and secure one stop (online) service Key success factor of sharing information program - well define vision and strategy govt wide in a master plan/e-gov roadmap supported by legislations step by step moving up from surveyed baseline to customized service directly under PM office and led by MOGAHA supported by Korea advance ICT technology a viable investment despite its barriers (value for money) eliminating social cost KRW 2.7 trillion a year + cost saving USD 2.8 Billion in 5 years

6 It is a value for money investment on sharing public information,
but it has to be managed well in a visionary roadmap and politically highly supported implementation. The remaining challenge is how to create talents with deep analytical skills to innovate and take out the value of the shared information for the benefits of citizens, businesses and governments.
