2 Thank You! First off, we would like to say thank you for volunteering to be a Notetaker. You are helping ensure equal access for students with disabilities, making it possible for them to participate fully in their education. To be an effective Notetaker, you will be expected to complete short trainings and the assessments related and provide consistent, thorough and timely notes. If you meet the expectations for the Volunteer Notetaker Program you will be eligible for the Notetaker Stipend at the end of semester.

3 Step 1 Go to the Disability Center’s webpage; & click on the Notetaker Sign-In button

4 Step 2 Log into the system using your Mizzou Pawprint and password.

5 Click on “Sign Up as a Notetaker”.
Step 3 Click on “Sign Up as a Notetaker”.

6 Step 4 Read the Eligibility Requirements and then enter in the following: -School ID# -Username (Pawprint) -Mizzou Address Then type the series of letters and numbers shown in the CAPTCHA section and click “Continue to Step 2”.

7 Step 5 Fill out the information within your Notetaker Application and click “Register as a Notetaker” when finished. Tip: Enter in your mailing address.

8 When you are done, click on “Continue to Verify Your Classes”.
Step 6 Enter in the Course Registration Numbers (CRN) for each course you are signing up for within the “Request a Notetaking Assignment” section. Tip: You can find the CRN by logging into your myZou account and looking at your class schedule. It will be a 5-digit number. When you are done, click on “Continue to Verify Your Classes”.

9 Click “Submit Your Notetaker Contract”.
Step 7 Read the policies and procedures in the Notetaker Agreement before signing it. When finished reading the agreement, type in your name at the bottom. Be sure to type it as it is shown below the “Full Name” box. Click “Submit Your Notetaker Contract”.

10 Step 8 Click the check box next to the course(s) you are volunteering for and click “Submit Your Class Schedule”.

11 Step 9 Once you’ve submitted your classes, you’ll need to wait until the Accommodations Coordinator at the Disability Center matches your assignment to the class. You will receive an once you’ve been matched and you’ll need to log back in and confirm your assignment. Under the section where your entered in the CRN’s for your courses, you’ll see your assignments. You’ll need to Confirm the assignment before you can begin uploading notes. If you deny your assignment you will no longer be the Notetaker for that class.

12 Step 10 After you’ve confirmed the assignment you’ll be able to start uploading notes. From your account, on the left-hand side of the screen you’ll see the “Tools” section. Click on “Upload and View Notes”, where you’ll be taken to the uploads section.

13 Step 11 Select the class for which you are uploading the notes.
You can choose which week they are for by clicking the down arrow on the “Notes for:” section. You can also choose what day of the week by clicking the box next to the days listed. Click “Choose File” and find the notes that you want to upload then click “Upload Notes”.

14 The next slide will review each level of stipend amounts.
Step 12 Once you are signed up as a Notetaker you’ll be added to the Volunteer Notetaker Program Canvas site where you’ll be able to complete the training assessments, read any announcements, indicate the level of stipend amount you wish to work towards, and contact the Accommodations Coordinator. The next slide will review each level of stipend amounts.

15 Levels of Notetaker Stipends
There are now four options for the levels of stipend amounts that you can choose from. Stipends will be sent out after the end of the semester and will either be mailed or direct deposited into your bank account. Level 1 - $100 Stipend (1 class) & $125 (2+ classes): All post assessment for each of the trainings must be completed before deadline date. Notes must be uploaded within 1-2 business days of the class period. Notes must be legible and in a format accepted by the student.  Level 2 - $75 Stipend (1 class) & $100 (2+ classes): Complete post-assessments for the First Steps, Notetaking Strategies, and the “Get to Know the Disability Center” training videos before the deadline.  Level 3 - $50 Stipend (1 class) & $75 (2+ classes): Complete post-assessments for the First Steps & Notetaking Strategies training videos before the deadline. Notes must be legible and in a format accepted by the student.   Level 4 - $40 Stipend (1 class) & $50 (2+ classes): Complete the post-assessment for the First Steps training video
