1 Deforestation and its dangers
Taegen Kehr P.4 McNees

2   Deforestation is already an apparent problem yet it is set aside due to the demand of products that we need and live off of. Not only does it affect our biosphere, it affects the plants and animals within it.

3 The Pros and cons of deforestation
Agriculture Employment Urbanization Debt Management Contributes to global warming Contributes to extinction Promotes drought development Limited recourse

4 Biodiversity   Biodiversity is the large variation of life in an ecosystem. We need biodiversity in an ecosystem to maintain a healthy and stable balance. At the same time we are faced with deforestation which leads to biodiversity loss. "Ecosystem effects of biodiversity loss could rival impacts of climate change, pollution." ANN ARBOR, Mich.

5 Effects on the ecosystem
Mentioned earlier in some of the previous slides, we need biodiversity to sustain an ecosystem. Deforestation plays a harmful role. Deforestation has been linked to the extinction of many species; plants and animals. Without certain species, the entire ecosystem will collapse. As the machinery is introduced and the trees are taken away, it leads to pollution. Air pollutants can harm ecological resources, including water quality, soils, plants, and animals. Ozone, for example, can cause damage to plant tissues and reduced growth in some sensitive plant species.
