20 #9 can I use my enterprise agreement contract to license my exchange server at my service provider?

21 yes… as of July 1st 2011 SALs for SA VL for Dedicated Apps
SPLA for Shared Apps Shared Hardware Shared Apps SALs for SA allow customers current with active Software Assurance (SA) to migrate to a shared-tenant hosted application at a discounted rate. Discount reflects customers’ annuity investment in Microsoft licensing Available for Lync, SharePoint, Exchange and the Productivity Suite SAL Extended to include most standard and enterprise SALs Pricing has been adjusted down in most cases App VM Cust #1 Cust #2 Cust #3 Shared App (SPLA) App (SPLA) IaaS SaaS SA Key Themes: Many enterprise customers are interested in consuming productivity applications in a true SaaS method. SALs for SA addresses this need, while preserving their investments in Microsoft licensing. Many of our enterprise customers have previously purchased perpetual software licenses (CALs with Software Assurance) from Microsoft for on-premises use. With SALs for SA, these customers, as long as they are current with their Software Assurance (SA), can migrate to the equivalent SPLA service at a discounted rate, under which they receive a pricing credit for the SA on their CALs. SALs for SA are functionally equivalent to a full SAL, and Use Rights for SALs for SA are identical to their corresponding full SALs. SALs for SA pricing is more favorable than the corresponding full SAL pricing. If a customer chooses not to renew the associated SA agreement, they lose the right to purchase SALs for SA and will be required to purchase the full SALs. In July, we are extending SALs for SA to include most IW server products (Lync, SharePoint and Exchange) –standard and enterprise SALs as well as the Productivity Suite SAL. In addition, pricing has been adjusted down in most cases. OS H/W
