3. What do we offer?
Experienced staff available to assist with resource-based queries and IT.
Resources including books, journals, e-resources, DVDs and CDs.
Study desks.
PCs, scanners, Apple Macs, and laptops.
Print, photocopy and scan – Students receive 600 free print credits and can top up in the LRC.
Group study and silent rooms for students.
Stationery for sale.

4. Computer use Computers are for course work only.
Students and staff have remote access to the VPN (network) and VLE from home.
Use the library catalogue and EBSCO Discovery to search for the library’s print and online resources.
A-Z list of e-resources on the VLE.

5. LRC on the VLE
On My VLE go to ‘Courses’, ‘My Support’ and ‘Learning Resource Centre’ to find out what is available.

6. Study skills Inductions for students and staff.
Subject-specific Information/Digital Literacy sessions available throughout the year, including Research Skills, Referencing, and IT skills.

7. Respect the LRC
The LRC is a drop in facility for students, when not in a timetabled class.
No eating or hot drinks (no drinks at PCs).
Phones must be on silent and calls taken outside the LRC.
Students must scan in and out of the LRC – this data will appear on your ProSolution Tutor Group.
Disruptive behaviour or offensive language will not be tolerated.

8. Ordering books
Library resources relating to your curriculum area may be ordered throughout the year.
