Asian Russia has a small population, and its subarctic and tundra climates are much cooler. Where is the Kamchatka Peninsula located? What is unique about the land in this area? Kamchatka Peninsula is located on the far east of Russia, on the Pacific coast. Unique because it is on the Ring of Fire.
