Grace Fellowship Church www.GraceDoctrine.org
Pastor/Teacher Jim Rickard Sunday, May 3, 2009 Title Page Below are some simple instructions on how to use this template: 1. You can change the text in the graphical screen above or in the outline area to the left. 2. There is one default background that is indicated by “ ” .This slide acts as a space or a blank screen, use to clear or blank the screen. If you have a large graphic such as a map you could also use this screen. If you insert a new slide you will get this default background. 3. The first five slides have the other backgrounds for the set. To use more than one of these background types in your presentation highlight the one you wish to use and choose copy from the edit menu. Paste this slide where you want it to appear in your presentation, then change the text on this new slide. By copy/pasting the slide in this manor you will keep the background, text formatting and the customized animation from that slide. By using the copy/paste method you find it saves you time and keeps a consistent look through out your presentation. 4.There are a few additional notes written in the slide text wording that may be helpful. Note: We are working on a website that in the future will provide help topics on using sermon outlines in PowerPoint as well as provide sermon templates similar to this one. Check for more information.

Apostles Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth: and in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hades; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit; the Church (body of Christ); the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

The Nicene Creed “I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made. Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate;

He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge the living and the dead, whose kingdom shall have no end. And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life; who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets. And I believe one holy catholic and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.”

1 John Series 1 John 5:10b Who is the Liar?

This represents those within the human race who reject God the Father’s evidence (Water, Blood and Spirit) that points to the saving work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

There is no such thing as a person arriving in eternity who has an excuse. Everyone has the opportunity for salvation.

“He has made Him a liar” POIEO PSEUSTES AUTOS
“He has made Him a liar” POIEO PSEUSTES AUTOS. When God’s deposition is rejected, that’s blasphemy, saying He is a liar.

Because they have not believed His MARTURIA
Because they have not believed His MARTURIA. witness / testimony / evidence

“Which God has testified” HOS MATUREO HO THEOS God has testified the truth about His Son in the past, which stands as effective for today.

“Concerning His Son”, PERI HO HUIOS AUTOS. The witness for Eternal Life.

You either believe in Jesus Christ as your savior and receive eternal life, or reject Him and remain in your spiritually dead state.

Rejection adds further insult of proclaiming God the Father to be a liar, which is an attack on the essence of God.

God is veracity which means all truthfulness, Deut 32:4; John 6:32; 14:6; 15:1; Heb 8:2; 1 John 5:20.

The person who rejects Christ is swapping the essence of God with the essence of Satan. John 8:44

The one who rejects Jesus Christ is lying to themselves, thinking they do not need a Savior to overcome their sins. 1 John 2:22-23a

The believer is called a liar experientially, by not obeying God’s mandates, as found throughout scripture. 1 John 1:7-2:6; 4:20; Heb 10:26, 29

The unbeliever’s rejection is called blaspheming the Holy Spirit
The unbeliever’s rejection is called blaspheming the Holy Spirit. Mat 12:31-32

It’s rejecting the Holy Spirit’s Common Grace Ministry, 1 Cor 2:11; Eph 1:13. It is saying that His witness is false, John 16:7‑11.

Rejection of Jesus Christ is called sin, John 16:9, “the unpardonable sin”. Compare John 3:18, 36.

Those who are under the unpardonable sin consider the gospel foolishness, 1 Cor 1:18, 2:14, and are deceived, 2 Thes 2:10-13.

It is also called, “Resisting the Holy Spirit” Acts 7:51
