2. Keyboard
The keyboard is a board with many keys attached to it. When you press down on a letter, the letter will appear on the screen. When you combine these letters together, you can make words. There are also non-letter keys on a keyboard. Keys like Shift, CapsLK, Esc, Tab, Backspace, F1-F12, Insert, Delete, Home, End, Logo Key, FN, Ctrl, Alt, Arrow Keys, PGUP, PGDN, and Enter.
We’ll describe the functions of these keys later. Some keyboards may have a little red, purple, or green dot right between the G and H keys. This is called a Track Point. We’ll talk about that in our mouse section later.

3. Mouse
Mouse: The mouse is the device that allows you to navigate better around the computer. You’ll notice that when you move your mouse, the little on your screen moves too. This arrow can look like the following:

4. Printer
A printer is the device that can make your computer creations come alive. It starts when you send the signal to the printer. The printer will process your request, and create your document with ink and paper!

5. Speakers
Speakers can help blast sound out of the computer. Most computers come with speakers, but others can be used to emphasize sound. Some computers have a speakers port, plus a headphone port.

6. CPU
CPU stands for Central Processing Unit. This is the computer itself, and all the components inside of it. We’ll talk about computer components later in the lessons.

7. Webcam
A webcam is a little camera built in, or attached to the computer. It can take pictures of you, or broadcast your video to someone.
