The amount of pressure required depends on the salt concentration of the feed water. The more concentrated the feed water, the more pressure is required to overcome the osmotic pressure. The desalinated water that is demineralized or deionized, is called permeate (or product) water. The water stream that carries the concentrated contaminants that did not pass through the RO membrane is called the reject (or concentrate) Product Flow m3/day System Pressure 2000kPa max Water supply Brackish <2000TDS Low Pressure Pump Optional High Pressure Pump SS (dependent on water supply) VSD High pressure pump Control Microprocessor Control Function Automatic Protection Low Pressure, motor overload Protection optional High Pressure , antiscalant fault Antiscalant dosing Included Pre Filtration 5/ 1micron cartridge filters Media Filtration Optional Instrumentation Flow rotameters and pressure gauges Low Pressure Piping uPVC High pressure piping uPVC or 316SS (depending on pressure) Clean in Place Optional Membranes Brackish Water Design, build, installation and servicing of all systems serving South Australia… “providing service in metropolitan areas and throughout the state”
