2 What is it? YouTube is a video sharing website which users can upload, share and view other videos.

3 Founders of YouTube YouTube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen & Jawed Karim.

4 How was YouTube created?
YouTube was launched on the internet on the 14th of February The story behind YouTube was thought of when Chad Hurley and Steve Chen experienced difficulty when sharing videos that had been taken at a dinner party for Steve Chen. Unfortunately Jawed Karim wasn’t able to attend the dinner party and wasn’t able to see the videos of the dinner until next time the meet up and that was the idea of YouTube.

5 How did it start? Originally YouTube started out in an apartment in San Mateo, California above a Pizzeria & Japanese Restaurant. Current Headquarters

Playback Uploading Quality 3D Videos

7 Playback Playback is being able to go to and watching a video as many times as you like as well as being able to download the video.

8 Uploading Uploading is having the chance to upload any video that is acceptable to the content agreement of YouTube. People & Media Corporations such as CBS and BBC can upload videos such as movie clips, TV shows, music videos and amateur videos such as video blogs.

9 Quality People have a range of picture quality such as HD and different amount of pixels.

10 3D Videos 3D videos were introduced to YouTube on the 21st of July 2009 when software engineer Peter Bradshaw announced 3D videos to the world. The 3D videos can be seen in cyan and red lens 3D glasses which will activate the 3D effect.

11 Interesting Facts Google INC bought YouTube for $1.65 Billion and it now operates as a subsidiary of Google. April fools jokes have also taken place on Youtube since 2009. In 2009, When someone clicked on a video on the main page, the whole page turned upside down and YouTube claimed that this was new layout. In 2010, YouTube temporarily released a “TEXTP” mode which would translate the colours of the video into random upper case letters.
