5 Revision : How Stage 1 Forward Planning
Build a large calendar to plot all significant dates Start early compiling lists of things to do Plug any gaps in notes or understanding in your subject notes Treat any deadlines for coursework as the last acceptable date for the completion of work not the target date Clear the decks in your bedroom for some serious revision action Take out from your potential revision time your usual sporting and social activities and make these your rewards Discuss your programme with your home support team and see how they can help you Copyright : David Hughes 2002

6 Revision : How Stage 2 Begin to reduce your course notes form long hand to note and KEYWORD format Use charts to map out targets and progress over time Obtain past papers from your teachers so you get a feel for the content and format of the examination Encourage your parents to check your daily progress Do not compare your revision to anyone else’s Make sure you ease off revision in the two weeks before the examinations
