The GMV network is made up of over 500 researchers and PhD students at the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers, representing the majority of disciplines – from social sciences and humanities to pure science and engineering. GMV also collaborate with representatives from industry, local authorities and other organisations.
For researchers within the field of environment and sustainable development the GMV network offers a platform for information exchange and collaboration.
The GMV scientific network is presented at the GMV website, where you can search for an expert within a certain topic.

GMV initiate and coordinate interdisciplinary graduate schools - Graduate school in environmental science - Graduate school Environment and Health - a collaboration between The University of Gothenburg, Chalmers University of Technology and the Västra Götaland Region. - Graduate school in marine environmental research organised by Gothenburg Centre for Marine Research (PhD students to work within granted pair-projects)

GMV is a platform for Gothenburg Atmospheric Research Centre and Work and Employment Research Centre.

Enhance student mobility within the environment and sustainable development
Sustainability Day for students
EXAMPLES:
GMV works to promote the development and implementation of sustainable development within undergraduate studies at the universities, for example by offering development of skills and know-how among teachers.
GMV works to develop shared curricula with universities abroad to enhance student mobility within the environment and sustainable development.
GMV arranges a Student Sustainability Day (Studentdagen Hållbarhet)- a student day with focus on sustainable development. All students at University of Gothenburg and Chalmers are welcome to this event.
Developing tool kits for to support and inspire teachers who wants to integrate sustainable development into the education. Conference coming up: WEEC2015.

Analysis, investigations, advice: GMV’s Environmental Economics and Policy group collaborates with agencies and organizations and provides analysis, assessments, investigations and advice for sustainable development. Sida’s Helpdesk for Environment and Climate Change in collaboration with the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala .
Mediation of contacts between bodies outside academia and researchers in the GMV network
Public lectures and seminars, for example Miljöperspektiv, a series of popular science seminars arranged together with Ekocentrum.
