2 Introduction to the Cold War
The Cold War is defined as tensions between the United States of America and the Soviet Union from Soviet Union- (USSR) United States of America Goal: spread world wide Communism. Goal: containment of Communism and the eventual collapse of the Communist world.

3 Definition of Task: You and your group members will each be assigned one of the topics below to research. As a group you will: Create a Either a powerpoint, google, or prezi Create a note sheet for the class.

4 Student Presentations
Each group will complete a presentation showing their research of their topic. The Presentation must include the following: Minimum of 12 slides answering the questions of your topic Minimum of 3 pictures from your internet research (Extra Credit) If your group has a media clip Presentations will been done as a group in class

5 Project Evaluation 1. Did you cover the major events of your assigned time period? 2. Is your project written clearly and concisely? 3. Is your work supported by accurate research? 4. Does your project have illustrations? 5. Does your presentation follow the project criteria?

7 Conclusion The Cold War put the world close to the brink of extinction on more than one occasion. People around the world knew that the end of the world as they knew it could come in the brink of the light. Hundreds of thousands had lost their lives trying to protect national interests even though the two sides did not directly fight. It is your job to report on the issues that made the Cold War one of the most tension filled periods of the 20th century.
