What can you do to help your child?
Listen to your child’s pronunciation and correct their errors. Regular reading practise every night. Sharing books and reading to your child can be just as beneficial. Encourage them to read the words on their spelling/word lists, once they recognise the word, they can be encouraged to spell it. Practise correct pencil grip and any other fine motor skills Encourage them to do their home learning tasks as independently as possible but give them resources or guidance needed.
