Check eligibility, deadlines, guidance notes Find the Funders key criteria and explain how your project meets it Find out what is excluded from the fund Assume the funder has no prior knowledge Don’t use abbreviations Keep it clear and concise Answer ALL questions Clearly detail the outcomes of your project Be realistic in what you can deliver

Key Aspects to writing a Strong Application Thoroughly evidence the ‘need’ for your project – statistics and results of consultations Ensure contact people named on the form have knowledge of the application Cover ALL costings – offer partnership / in kind funding where possible Include all requested information Ensure the application is sent by the deadline Keep a copy of the application form Don’t start the project before you have applied for or received the grant

Search engine for local, regional and national sources of funding Over 150 sources of funding Funding can be filtered by funding type; Athlete / Individual Club / Group / Organisation Coach / Official Disability Education / Training Equipment Facility Development Key word search and other filters

What happens now / LRS Support for Funding Club to identify if you are ‘Fit for Funding’ and the organisational structure of your club Club to consult club members and have a clear club / project plan Club to plan the details of your project and the outcomes you want to achieve Club to identify most applicable ways to generate income Club to search for applicable sources of funding on LRS Funding Finder – for further guidance contact Annette at LRS Annette will then support identification of most applicable sources of funding Club to decide on funding source and draft application LRS to review application and give feedback
