History is the story of numerous different people, who they have known, and how they have lived. Actually, anyone who has lived on Earth can claim to be part of history. The problem is that too often, because of the way the modern world works, people’s stories are never heard. This is your opportunity to make sure that your story, and therefore your contribution to this large idea we call history, is heard.
Your assignment is to write your Life History. Your life history will become a primary document of our time! You can choose to begin your history from either the date of your birth or your first memories of being alive. Your story needs to honest, but can include humor by highlighting some of the more “interesting” events or people you have encountered. Your history needs to be a minimum of one complete page. Tell me about your family, interest, where you have lived or traveled, etc. Basically, your paper should include all of the people, places and events that shaped you into who you are today. These will not be shared with the class.
Requirements Type 3 Writing Assignment:
20 pts. At least one page capitals at the beginning of the sentences and correct punctuation (8.5 x 11)
60 pts. Describes your life history- this can be from birth, a few years that seem to define you- YOU must include important people, places, and events that define you.
20 pts. It is written like a historian not a note scribbled to a friend, and is legible.
