Ambition is a theme addressed throughout Shakespeare’s play, “Macbeth”. Compare the Act One, Scene Seven of “Macbeth” to the poems “Ambition” by Edgar Albert Guest and “Aspiration” by Emily Dickinson. How is the theme of ambition similar and different between the three texts? Be sure to include evidence to support your response.
