Between 1337 and 1443, England and France fought a series of wars over the control of lands in France. English Kings long claimed lands in France as their own fiefs (Remember that French King Philip had taken English King John’s French fiefs back 150 years earlier….)

England used lightly armored knights, foot soldiers, and archers armed with longbows.
Some of the soldiers they used were peasants that were paid by the king. This changed the set-up of the feudal system.
England had fewer soldiers.

French had an army that relied on horse-mounted nobles, or knights.
Knights were heavily protected by their strong armor that sometimes made it difficult to move.
Most of the knights used swords and lances.
The infantry also used crossbows.

King Henry Vth of England invades France again in 1415 after a long truce. The Battle of Agincourt was a very famous battle.
