Barrier Description Information SMEs don’t know where to find information SMEs often don’t trust information on energy efficiency When they do find information, it is often not targeted to their business Undervaluing energy efficiency Lack of awareness of the benefits of energy efficiency Lack of time and resources (including organisational expertise) to implement energy efficiency measures Poor owner/senior manager buy-in, which means other investment opportunities are often prioritised

10 Local programmes D2EE Low Carbon Business Grants Scheme
Eligible SMEs can apply for grants of between £2,000 and £15,000 towards the cost of installing energy efficiency measures in their premises. The SME must contribute between 35% and 55% of the total value of the measures. Measures must lead to significant greenhouse gas emission reduction
