-AR verb present tense conjugation
What is verb conjugation? How do I conjugate regular, present tense verbs?

Conjugation Whenever we use verbs in a sentence, we have to manipulate them to make them fit and make sense. This is called “conjugation”. The way a verb is conjugated depends on who is doing the action or the subject. Here are the different subject pronouns (used in place of names) and examples of two conjugated verbs in English: Example: to speak to be I speak I am You speak you are He/She speaks he/she is We speak we are They speak they are

The subject pronouns Below are the 11 subject pronouns in the Spanish language. yo - I tú - you (singular, informal) vos* - you (singular) Used instead of “tú” in parts of Central and South America *We will not use vos in class usted - you (singular, formal) él - he ella - she nosotros - we vosotros - you (plural) you all -Used in Spain ustedes - you (plural, formal) you all ellos - they (all guys or a mixed group) ellas - they (a group of girls)

Conjugation In Spanish, all verbs are conjugated by adding the appropriate ending. That ending determines who is performing the action. There are three kinds of verbs in Spanish -AR, -ER, -IR In this unit, we will focus on -AR verbs. Conjugating a verb is done in 2 simple steps: Drop the ending from the infinitive form (-ar, -er, -ir) A verb without the ending is called the stem or root Add the appropriate ending to the stem of the verb.
