Installation Guide

2. Widget Info
Sinclair's messaging widget provides a means whereby our wholesale customers may receive periodic communications that are pertinent to the customer's business operations. Such communications fall within four categories:    
Emergencies
General Information
Pricing Alerts
Supply Issues
    In order to receive these alerts/messages, you must install the Sinclair Messaging Widget on your desktop.

3. QUICK UPDATE
If you've previously installed Yahoo!® Widgets, and just need to install or update Sinclair Alerts, skip to here. Otherwise, continue below with "Full Install" instructions.

4. Full Install To begin, click this link

5. Manual Download
This link will bring you to the installation page for the Yahoo Widgets bar. Click the manual download link for your appropriate system.

6. Run
This will prompt you to run or save the file. Click “Run”.

7. Run…Again
Depending upon your security settings, you may see this pop up after you click run. You can simply click “run” again.
If you do not get this pop up, proceed to the next step.

8. Next
Once the file has been downloaded, you will see this screen. Click “next”

9. Next…Again
This will bring you to the next screen. Click “next” again.

10. Install
This will bring you to the next screen. You want to UNCHECK the two boxes and then click “Install”.

11. Installing
You should see the installation bar moving while the program is being installed.

12. Installation Complete
Once the installation is complete, you should be at this screen. Click “Close”.

13. I Accept
This will bring up the License Agreement for the program. Click “I Accept”

14. Don’t Be Alarmed…
You will see all the Widgets open up on your desktop.
Click OK on any pop ups.
Also, You can right click any widget and select “Close Widget” to get it off the desktop.

15. The Widget Bar is Installed!
Congratulations, the Yahoo Widget Tool Bar and programs is now installed and should appear on the right of the screen. Click the button that says “continue”.

16. Get More Widgets
This will bring up the next box. Click “Get More Widgets”

17. Looking for Something This will open up the Yahoo Widgets main page.
Type Sinclair in the box that says “Looking for something” and hit Enter.

18. Get It
This should provide the search result of Sinclair Alerts. Click “get it”

19. Your Widget is Ready!
Once the widget is installed you should see this screen.

20. Expand the Widget Bar
Go back to your widget tool bar on the right of your screen and click the + at the top right. This will expand the toolbar to show you ALL widgets.

21. Find Sinclair Alerts
As you move your mouse over each icon it will display the name of the widget. Find the one that says Sinclair Alerts and click it.

22. Use Widget
After you click the Sinclair Alerts button in the Widget bar, this screen will pop up.
Click “Use Widget”

23. Widget Preferences
You should see the Sinclair Alerts box open on your desktop. Right click on the widget and select “Widget Preferences”

24. Login
This will open the preferences for the Sinclair Widget. Under “General” you will enter your Distributor Services UserID and PIN.

25. Messages to Desktop Next, click messages to desktop.
Here is where you can select which alerts you would like to receive, how many days you can view, how often the program searches for new alerts and what kind of sound you would like the computer to play for a new alert.

26. Messages to E-mail Next, Click messages to e-mail.
Here is where you enter your address and select which alerts you would like ed to you.
Once you have done that, click “save”

27. SUCCESS!
If you have entered your login correctly, after you click save you should see this message.

28. The End
Congratulations, you have completed the installation of the Sinclair Widget.
Please note, you must not close the widget to receive your desktop alerts. You can right click and select “Hide Widget” This will leave the widget active.
Any other widgets you do not want you can right click and select close widget.
