4 Sign & Dine: Mother Bears Pizza
We raised $85 towards sponsoring a child this summer at the Indiana Deaf Camp! Thank you for your support (and your love of pizza!)!

5 Upcoming Events “Shut up & Sign”
Informal (Casual: as in laid back) and fun conversation practice! 5:30-6:30pm SPHS C018 Thursday: 3/31, 4/7, 4/14

6 Upcoming Events Cont. Deaf Social Hour at the College Mall
Saturday April 2nd from 2:30pm-4pm Meet in the food court! Practice conversational ASL in a real life social situation

7 Upcoming Events Cont. Indiana School for the Deaf Educational Visit and Tour Monday April 11th 11am arrive college mall bus stop outside of sears 11:20 depart for ISD 12:45 arrive at ISD in Indianapolis 1-3pm guided tour/presentation from ISD 3:15 depart for Bloomington 4:40 arrive back at College Mall

8 ISD Trip Continue Currently 3 student drivers with 12 seats
If you need a ride, you must sign up for one at the end of the meeting today! If you are able to carpool (must have valid license and car insurance) Please sign up after the meeting! Drivers will receive $5 to help cover gas plus an extra involvement point An will be sent out later this week with finalized details.

9 Upcoming Events Cont. Final Club Meeting: Game night + Elections
Monday 4/18 6:30-8pm If interested in running for office: Prepare a 1-3min speech about why you would be a good fit for the position Can be presented live or via video format

11 Bowling for Brain Injury with NSSLHA
We have received a lot of support from the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association this semester, lets get out there and support them at this wonderful annual fundraising event! Thursday 4/21 from 6-10pm IMU Bowling Alley $5  proceeds go to support traumatic brain injury “Deaf” Lane! 7-830

12 What is Culture Shock? Student run radio station WIUX event
All day Music Festival free and open to public Booths representing student groups, businesses, community organizations This year is the 30th anniversary! Opportunity to share more and or introduce Deaf Culture and ASL to the community and fellow students

13 Upcoming Events: CULTURE SHOCK
Culture Shock planning Committee ALL are invited to come brainstorm and join the committee Thursday 3/31 at 6:45pm (After “shut up and sign”!) Ballantine Hall room 233 CULTURE SHOCK Dunn Meadow April 9th, 1-10pm IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS! (see Taylor)

14 Upcoming Events Cont. Intro to ASL Night-
What?: An introduction to basic ASL signs, phrases, and Deaf Culture. Why?: To promote and share Deaf culture and knowledge of ASL. Who?: Whether you are an SLP/AuD student wanting to learn some basics or just interested in the language and Deaf Culture, ALL are welcome! When?: Thursday 4/28 from 6:30-7:45pm Bring a friend! (it is crucial to have club member support for this event!) This is an opportunity for signers to contribute to the spreading of language. We are promoting this event at Culture Shock!

15 Remaining Time: Brainstorming stations
Please make sure: everyone has a chance to get their ideas out! Be patient with less experienced signers (you were once new to ASL too!) Jot down ideas onto the paper provided (not the scratch paper!) Use scratch paper to help facilitate communication
