11 Company visits Company visits are a chance for students to get a first-hand look into some of the various firms that hire actuaries. You will be able to network with other actuaries in the field, learn about the actuarial profession, gain tips to success within their career path, and find potential internships/full-time opportunities. This year there are 12 scheduled company visits and all of them are posted on our website.

12 Expectations for company visits
You should expect to understand what type of work they do Consulting, insurance, P&C, life, SOA, CAS, etc You should be able to get a better idea of whether you can see yourself working for this company ASK QUESTIONS!!! The more you seem interested in the company, the more they will be interested in you.

13 What companies expect of us
They want open minds and a desire to learn about them They want students that will come ready with questions Attentive listeners who are engaged in the discussion and looking forward to what they hear

14 Coming prepared Come dressed to impress Resumes
Business formal or business casual Resumes Even though we give companies the resume book beforehand, it is still a good idea to bring a few extra copies and personally hand them your resume after the meeting to show them that you are interested in working for them Bring a positive attitude
