Hours Turn-in Procedure/Rules  17 hours for the entire semester (including summer)  4 of 17 MUST be from EndZone  How to turn in hours:  Download NHS Hours form, have it filled out by volunteer coordinator  Take picture of completed NHS Hours form  Email picture to prhs.nhsHOURS@gmail.comprhs.nhsHOURS@gmail.com  Keep form as a receipt, just in case we miss it or make a mistake  DUE: December 4 @2:30  ALL 17 hours MUST be in. Or else demerit… 

Demerits Turn-in Procedure/Rules  Demerits  Unexcused Absence  Failure to fulfill hour requirements  Late Hours, EndZone hours  Failure to pay dues  Failure to participate in 1 st & 2 nd semester community service projects  Absence Form Procedure:  Download Absence form Fill out the form, email to prhs.nhsATTENDANCE@gmail.com prhs.nhsATTENDANCE@gmail.com  Max THREE (3) excused absences  Must sign out before you leave! 5. EndZone Tutoring New Rules! New Procedure!  MUST be certified!  After meeting, will hold certification session  NHS + EndZone:  Sign up on SignUp Genius on MyeClass  Way to make sure students will be there on your day?  Check student SignUp Genius  Bring someone to be tutored  Find someone in the media center to tutor  Sign in on general EndZone tutor sign-in form  Bring NHS Hours form, get signed by Mr. Taylor  Complete 4 hours per semester

6. Dues  $30 by Monday, September 21 st on MyPaymentsPlus  Covers NHS Induction, Cords, T-Shirts  Possibly a fundraiser later in the year  Late dues = Demerit!

7. Ridge Run 5k 1 st Semester Community Service Project  This year: October 10, 2015  This event is REQUIRED for NHS members & is not part of the 17 hours needed.  Missing this event will result in a demerit.  Options for NHS members:  Volunteer  Run AND Clean up  Pack runner bags day before the run  Volunteer or sign up on ridgerun.weebly.com  Encourage friends and family to run or support Ridge Run!

8. Community Service Committee  2 nd semester Community Service Committee  Plan a 2 nd semester community service project  Plan first semester, enact second  Volunteer hours awarded to those on committee  If you are interested in joining, indicate as such on sign out sheet.  Service project will also be a required event, like Ridge Run  Got Ideas? Join the committee! If not, contact us through the website or prhs.nhsgeneral@gmail.comprhs.nhsgeneral@gmail.com

9. T-Shirts  Last year was sort of a mess…  … but this year WILL be better!  Submit t-shirt designs by next meeting!  If we choose your design, we will award you one hour!  Please don’t submit designs on paper. On computers please!

10. New Officer Elections! Almost done…  Available positions:  Vice President (Junior)  Junior Secretary (Junior)  Junior Induction Chair (Junior)  Historian (Senior or Junior)  Due: Friday, September 11 @2:30 to Ms. Stallings (A113)  Officer duties and applications will be available on the NHS website  Be prepared to make a short 3-5 min speech on why you should be elected for that position
