4 Jesus died on the cross so that we could be perfect.
His blood cleans us from all sins in our spirit, body and soul. It sanctifies us; makes us pure and holy. To enter heaven, you MUST BE HOLY. WITHOUT HOLINESS, NO MAN, WOMAN OR CHILD SHALL SEE THE LORD.

5 CALL TO BE PERFECT Colossians 1: 21-29; Matthew 5:48; Genesis 17:1
Abraham was 99 years old when God demanded that Abraham should walk before Him and be perfect. To walk with God, you MUST BE PERFECT. TWO calls to be perfect: 1. SALVATION – THE FOUNDATION TO ACHIEVING A PERFECT WALK WITH GOD. QUESTION: How does a sinner gain salvation? 2. SANCTIFICATION – TOTAL CLEANSING OF OUR BODY, SOUL AND SPIRIT. - Removal of the adamic nature and root of sin from the heart. - Separates a person unto God and makes them holy, righteous and perfect.

6 CHARACTERISTICS OF A PERFECT CHILD Colossians 1: 22 -29; 1Thessalonians 5: 23
Perfect in thought, speech, appearance and actions. Abraham was perfect. Excellent in character and conduct. Daniel had an excellent spirit. Righteous in body, soul and spirit. Noah was righteous during the wickedness of his generation. Faultless in character and conduct. Samuel was faultless before God and the children of Israel. Exemplary in behavior and enduring in the strength of the Lord even during times of persecution. Apostle Paul was an exemplary Christian. He was holy and faithful to preaching of the gospel. Complete holiness in every area of your life. Jesus Christ is our perfect example. Transparent in behavior. There is no hidden darkness or agenda in the life of a perfect child.

7 COMMITMENT TO PERFECTION Colossians 1: 23 -29; 2 Peter 3:14
Perfection is the character of Christ. Jesus lived in this wicked world yet He did not commit sin. Jesus commands us that we should be perfect like God. We must strive to be perfect and continue in perfection. Only people who are perfect will enter Heaven and see God. Do away with anything that will disturb you from living like Jesus. Read your Bible everyday, pray, watch and preach the love of Christ to sinners. GOD WILL KEEP YOU TO THE VERY END.

8 QUESTIONS 1. What is the meaning of perfection? 2. Who commands us to be perfect? 3. What steps should both a sinner and friend of Jesus take to be perfect? 4. State the characteristics of a perfect child from the letters of the word ‘perfect.’
