2. Who provvide to unemployed people in Italy
In Italy the unemployment matter is up to by:
INPS (National Institute for the Public Welfare) together with
Employment Centres
The first one gives financial support to the unemployed people by means of unemployment benefits and mobility compensations.
The second one provides consultancy and assistance to the unemployed people looking for a new job.

3. The unemployment benefits
Are owed to the dismissed workers and to the workers suspended from companies stroke by temporary events (i.e. lack of work orders, market crisis etc.).
The benefit is equal to 40% of the salary paid before the expiry of the employment.
In order to get the benefit the registration in the unemployed list of the Employment Centre is necessary, together with a request for the unemployed benefit within 68 days from the end of the employment.

4. The mobility compensations
Is owed to the workers put in mobility by their companies after the end of the redundancy payment or after the firing for the closing of the companies’ activities.
The worker has right to this benefit if he’s enrolled in the mobility lists of the Employment Centre and if he’s been worked for 12 months.
The benefit is owed for a period from 12 to 36 months, related to the age of the worker and the localization of the enterprise.

5. To which groups of unemployed people attention is given in Italy?
Generally speaking the attention is give to all kind of people, but a particular eye is put on the youngsters who leave the school early.
The Employment Centres create focused projects for them with high attention to the characteristics and needs of the young people.
The Centres intend to give assistance as regards information, vocational guidance and support in the job and training searching to the jobseekers.
As regards the disabled people, a specific Law (68/99) has foreseen the creation of an employment office for the evaluation of the work capacities of the disabled person and his placement on the job.

6. What is the direction of the Labour offices and others institutions role?
The aim of the Employment Centres is to offer to the enterprises and to the jobseekers new tools for information and vocational guidance, so to help the match between offer and request in the job market.
The Employment Centres are a reference point for the territory for the intervention made for the development of the employment.
There are also Agencies for the work whose task are: giving job, intermediation, searching and selection of the personnel, support for the job replacement.

7. The most effective tools for solutions of unemployment in rural areas
Financial supports are foreseen for the enterprises in rural areas, besides for the farm laborer, who mostly carry out seasonal activities.
The unemployment benefits are also owed to this work category: the workers has to be enrolled in the lists of the farm hands at least two years.
The amount of the benefit is equal to 30% of the salary paid before the end of the employment.
