3. Behavior Expectations Feel free to do anything as long as it doesn’t cause a problem for someone else. If you cause a problem, we will ask you to solve it.
This is a library, so…
Feel free to come in respectfully; there will be others working.

Feel free to use this space to work, collaborate, get help.
Non-negotiable: You must have a task to do while you are here; playing games on a device, texting/taking pictures, etc… are not appropriate. You will be asked to leave and your teachers will be notified.

4. What’s different here?
You can come to the IMC with your teacher (about once a week) or with a pass
We offer help with lots of things, including: book recommendations, help with researching, help with technology integration, help with just about anything
You don’t need to have your book to renew it
You can place books on hold
You can come before and after school from 7:45-3:00
You can check out books that aren’t at your lexile 

6. While your are browsing for books…
Feel free to look at any book on any shelf. However, what should you do if you pick out a book, look at it, and decide you don’t want it?
Put it on the book cart next to the shelves for us to put back; it’s why we are paid 

7. How many books can I check out?
To start, you may check out one book… As the year goes on or if you are a super responsible IMC patron, you may check out more than one.

8. How do I check out a book? Happy Reading
You will need to know your ID number (it’s the same one you use at lunch and the same one you use to log into your computer) and punch it into the keypad, there are two of them. We will give you a due date card (two weeks from the date of check out) and you are GOOD to GO!

9. How do I return a book?
Hand the book to either Mrs. Nicoson or Mrs. Steers or use the Book Drop INSIDE of the IMC

10. What if I lose a book? You can replace it You can pay for it
Lost Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets? Buy a copy of this same book and bring it in.
Lost Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and it costs $6.99? Bring in $6.99 to pay for it.

12. Security in the IMC
We have two security features available to us: the cameras in the ceiling and the alarm system on the doors. You’ll never need to worry about either of them if you follow our Knights Code of Conduct: Responsible, Ready, and Respectful.

13. Student Technology Agreement
This is an agreement that you, your parents, and your teachers sign off on. You may not take your laptops home until this is signed.

14. It is my responsibility to:
Carry a flash drive to keep track of my assignments
Follow all copyright and anti-piracy laws and educational fair use policy
Choose key search words carefully when on the internet
Never give out personal information such as login or password
Only print items that are school related
Report concerns to my teacher

15. Unacceptable uses:
Attempting to bypass or alter computer or network security
Modifying the wallpaper or background
Downloading software onto the D87 computer
Vandalizing school machines
Accessing inappropriate backgrounds
Accessing another student’s files
Inappropriate use of social media
Eating or drinking while using the computers
