6. Latitude and longitude work like a map grid, but on a global scale
Latitude and longitude work like a map grid, but on a global scale. These two sets of imaginary lines encircle the globe. Locations on these lines are stated in degrees (°).
Latitude and Longitude coordinates are the best way to find exact location on the Earth.

7. Prime Meridian: starting point for measuring longitude
Prime Meridian: starting point for measuring longitude. It is labeled as 0⁰ and runs north/south.

8. Longitude: Lines on a map used to measure distance east or west of the Prime Meridian

9. Equator: line of latitude that is the halfway point between the North and South Pole. It is labeled as 0⁰ and runs east/west.

12. Latitude is 1st and Longitude is 2nd: Find: 35⁰ N, 120⁰ W
