30 DC in the Summer  In general, Dual Credit students are not permitted to enroll in courses off campus. Exceptions may be considered when a student needs a course for graduation and is unable to complete it any other way.  Each request will be reviewed on a case by case basis and a student’s prior success in a DC class will strongly be taken into consideration.  If approved ONLY ONE class will be allowed. $398 All DUE dates apply to summer classes as well.

31 DC On-Line Courses  On-line DC Courses are NOT recommended
 On-line classes CANNOT be taken in order to gain an off period.  Students who wish to enroll in online courses must first go into Blackboard and complete the READI Assessment to evaluate their readiness for online coursework.  Online courses require more discipline than live courses and I take full responsibility for my success or failure in this course.

32 Honors Course Agreement
Dual credit courses are college level classes.  Dual Credit courses are the same class that you would have if you attended the college accrediting the course.  Students need to exhibit the maturity level and responsibility of someone taking a college level class. Payment is due to Navarro by June 1st. The grade will go on both the students HS and college transcript and cannot be taken for a higher grade at the HS level unless the student failed to earn credit. It’s always recommended that you check with your potential universities to make sure the credit will transfer. While we expect students to be very successful in Pre-AP, AP, or Dual Credit classes, it’s important to take close look at the student’s total course load and commitments to other activities when choosing how many courses to take during a semester. For some students, the best way to begin moving into these courses is by beginning with one, until they better understand the expectations and time commitments involved.
