Literacy
This week we have been talking about the different farm animals we would find on a farm and the different jobs a farmer has to complete.
We have been writing check job and animal lists for the farmer. We have also been writing some excellent sentences about farm machinery.
We have read in class this week the story of ‘The Little Red Hen’ and ‘Mrs Wishy Washy’s Farm’
We have all really enjoyed learning about farming this week. We especially enjoyed looking at farming machinery and farm animals.
We have been looking closely at the processes of the production of milk and eggs.
In addition to this, we have been writing our own lists, looking at old and new tractors, noticing the similarities and differences and have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes.
You have all worked very hard, well done!
Phonics
This week we have been refreshing ourselves with the phase 3 digraphs and trigraphs sounds. We have been identifying these sounds when reading tricky words.
We have also been learning to spell and read the tricky words like and have.
Maths
This week we have revisited 2D and 3D shapes and their properties.
We are now all a lot more confident at naming these shapes and describing their properties.
Well done!
Notices
This weeks homework is to refresh and revise all phase three sounds.
Please can you help your child to learn their assembly line for next week. Their line has been stuck into their learning together book.
Our worship is next Wednesday in church at 9:00am, it would be lovely to see you all there.
