1 THE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES & COMMUNITY ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION ACT OF 2010 California Arts Advocates, the premier statewide arts advocacy organization is sponsoring innovating and groundbreaking legislation that will:  invest in the economic revitalization of California’s communities by  encouraging joint partnerships to enhance investment of public resources  to enable the growth of the creative economy throughout the state Are you prepared to support a public investment in the arts? 3 What will the Creative Industries and Community Economic Revitalization Act 2010 accomplish?  Establishes the Creative Industries & Community Revitalization Fund  Transfers 20% of sales tax collected on specific arts-related lines of business to the CICRF  Authorizes local assistance program grants for organizational support  Encourages joint partnership between applicants  Provides for oversight by the Legislature  The California Arts Council administers grants program and allocates funds from the CICRF P.O.
