FAQ 01 How our courses work… Once you are enrolled, simply select the appropriate course link to display its information. If I were enrolled in the Certificate of Registration Real Estate Salesperson course, I would click on the link as shown in red on the slide. To progress through this slide show, simply click your mouse or use your arrow keys.
2
The main screen of the course selected is then displayed… In the column on the left of the screen, are links to administration functions like Navigation (Course content), Settings (Grades) and Activities (Submitting assignments), etc. The centre section is the actual course information and material. The column on the right of the screen shows Upcoming Events. It’s a bit like the newsfeed in facebook! Scrolling down reveals the General Information links, and the rest of the course.
3
You can change the left and right columns to be tabs instead… By clicking on the button in a panel, you can minimise them to tabs instead of panels. Or you can maximise them again to panels using the button beneath the tabs. Scrolling your mouse over a tab will display the relevant selectable options in that tab.
4
Scrolling down displays the course content… Beneath the course description and General Information links, the first of the modules or topics for the course is displayed. The module’s objectives, Assessment Tasks and Learner Resource links are displayed for selection. Clicking on a link will display that link – for example - CPPDSM3019A Assessment Tasks V1.1 and/or Submission/s will display the assessment task questions for this module/topic.
5
The Assessment Task questions are displayed… To view all the questions, simply scroll up and down through the screen as required. You should copy and paste these questions into a word document and save on your computer to complete the questions. You can use your back button or shortcut links like NSW RESP to return to the course material.
6
To select a Learner Resource… The Learner Resources are listed in the form of links to websites, pdf, Word, text and PowerPoint documents. Simply select the Learner Resource you wish to display by clicking on it. Tip: You can keep your saved word document with the task questions open so you can refer to them as you work through the resources.
7
Display the selected learner resource…. Depending on the web browser (e.g. google chrome, internet explorer etc) and type of document selected (file or url), the resource will either open in a new “pop-up” window or be “parked” at the bottom left of your screen. Simply click on the button in the “pop-up” window or on the “parked file” to display the resource in a new window. Read the resource contents to find the information you seek. To close the resource, simply click on the close window button.
8
Answer questions in your saved Assessment Tasks document… Open the document you created with the assessment task questions. Insert your own answers into the document. Once you have completed all your answers and saved your document/s, you are ready to upload your assessment task for the assessor to grade. Press the Esc key to exit the slide show Please do not copy and paste learner resource material (unless you are quoting from an Act or Legislation) directly into your answers. See FAQ#02 for information on uploading your assessment tasks
