Food Service Management – History Current services are being provided by Aramark Educational Services, LLC In 2011, Northwest ISD solicited proposals and the Board of Trustees awarded a five year agreement to Aramark Educational Services, LLC Now, in 2016, the five year agreement is ending and NISD is required to re-bid these services

3. Food Service Management – Requirements The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), Food and Nutrition Division is the governing body for School Nutrition School Food Authorities (SFA), School Districts are required to solicit for proposals/bids at least every five years RFP templates are available from TDA which includes necessary information for Food Service Management Companies (FSMC) to respond

4. RFP Requirements Information includes: proposed budget, menus, projected enrollment and participation, current staffing, etc. Once the RFP is developed, it must approved by TDA before advertisement Invitations to respond to the RFP must be sent to TDA approved Food Service Management Companies

5. NISD RFP RFP # 016-021-02-016 was advertised and released on February 22, 2016 A pre-bid meeting was held on March 7, 2016 in which prospective companies asked questions and attended a guided tour of 3 NISD campuses (elementary, middle school and high school) The RFP closed on March 23, 2016

NISD RFP Schedule Responses are being tabulated and evaluated by a committee of NISD Administrators Each response will be scored against the criteria/weights published in the RFP A recommendation for award will be brought to the April 25, 2016 Board of Trustees meeting The agreement included in the RFP of the selected FSMC must also be approved by TDA
