What did you like about the Distance Learning experience? ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ The Saratoga teachers are great DL teachers (very accommodating and flexible). The students loved the classes and did well. The level of excitement of the students and the developing relationships with other districts. The sharing of information we would otherwise not have access to. I always enjoy the interaction between kids from different schools. Students being able to take courses that aren't available in our own school. Most days ran smoothly, organized, well planned, students excited about learning. Hearing what other students had to contribute to the subjects. Teacher/student interactions approximate a regular classroom experience.

What did you dislike about the Distance Learning experience? ______________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ Our room needs a printer/copier I had to leave to make copies on a regular basis because worked was faxed at the last moment. The background noise from the students from other schools, their whispering and movements were distracting. The lack of notice about assignments being faxed over to be printed. Host teacher was very rude to students. Sometimes the sound is an issue. Host school not being able to hear us.

What changes would you offer to improve the DL program? ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ During teacher lecture, the ability to lower the student volumes would be helpful. A more clear definition of my role with the students in my supervision, especially as it pertains to missed classes. Larger screens perhaps - otherwise all is well. Have a teacher desk at back of room with office supplies and a teacher computer so we can work while students are learning.

It works well when teachers are able to use a combination of faxing and emailing for handouts and student work. Thanks for including us in the DL meetings. We appreciate being able to contribute our needs as well as the students.
