9 Volunteer Survey (2) 50% use Facebook everyday 90% (87%) strongly agree/ agree that they enjoy their volunteering role 78% (80%) strongly agree/ agree that CSSC is a good organisation to volunteer for 82% (78%) very satisfied/ satisfied as a volunteer with CSSC Overall results are encouraging, no surprises and provide assurance heading in the right direction.

12 Partnership Framework A model for joint working. Why? CSSC has been around for nearly 100 years, want to be around in the next 100 years – to do this our processes will have to evolve with the changing needs of the organisation and our members. The sector we operate in is changing Our partnerships are fundamental to our future An enabler to build this strong organisation

13 Tasters 2015/16 203 Events booked in 2015, with 986 attendees. 312 events booked in 2016 so far Including the favourites from 2015 as well as new to 2016- Craft and Cookery Workshops, Distillery/ Wine/ Beer Taster and Tours, Bush craft, Husky/Alpaca Trekking

21 Around one in two women and a third of all men in England are damaging their health through a lack of physical activity. One in four people in England fail to achieve more than 30 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity per week Source: Public Health England, Sport England

22 Sport and Physical Activity in CSSC ‘Sport is Dead. Sport as an umbrella term is dead. The language of sport can be counterproductive and there needs to be a shift towards a more inclusive language of activity.’ Tanni Grey-Thompson, DBE

23 Government paper on sport: Sporting Future: A New Strategy for an Active Nation December 2015, the Government launched its new sport strategy. One of the implementations explains that Government will ‘lead by example’ and encourage the Civil Service workforce to increase their physical activity levels. CSSC are mentioned in the sports strategy. Sport and Physical Activity in CSSC
