10. In order for children to become successful in math it is important to develop some basic mathematical skills. Some of these skills include: counting sets of objects with one to one correspondence, knowing the number words and written numbers for 0-5 and sorting objects. Math

The KRA assessment is used to determine a child’s kindergarten readiness in the following areas:  Language and Literacy  Science  Social Studies  Math  Physical Well Being and Motor Development  Social Foundations The assessment is given over the course of a few weeks by your child’s classroom teacher. Be patient, they will get back to you as soon as they can. Visiting School Always sign in at the office. Bring your photo ID! Newsletters They have important information about what is going on at school or what is coming up! Kindergarten Orientation Attend the orientation offered at your school in the beginning of the school year! Each school does things a little differently and you will get a lot of valuable information.
