3 Verbs with indirect object pronouns Verbs like GUSTAR, ENCANTAR and MOLESTAR take an indirect object pronoun that stands for the person experiencing the action.

4 Verbs with indirect object pronouns An indirect object pronoun is used with some verbs to indicate to whom or for whom an action occurs. The verbs below are often used with indirect object pronouns. ¿Te molesta hacer dos cosas a la vez? Does it bother you to do two things at once? Me resulta fácil usar este programa. It is easy for me to use this program. No me cabe en la cabeza. I can’t get it into my head.

5 Verbs with indirect object pronouns ¿Le pusiste tu número en su agenda electrónica? Did you put your number in his electronic planner? A Sara no le es fácil la geografía. Geography is not easy for Sara. A ellos les cuesta trabajo hacer la tarea. It takes a lot of work for them to do the homework.

6 Verbs with indirect object pronouns The indirect object pronoun indicates to whom or for whom the action occurs. The verb must agree with the subject. ¿A Uds. les resultó fácil el examen? for whom agrees with subject

7 Verbs with indirect object pronouns If the subject is an infinitive, the verb must be in the third person singular. Me cuesta trabajo entender este cuento. (Entender este cuento me cuesta trabajo.) agrees with subject
