3 WHY is exercise so important? It keeps your HEART strong It helps your BRAIN work better It helps you SLEEP at night It keeps your BODY fit

4 Exercise makes your heart strong! Your heart is a muscle that works to pump your blood. The more you exercise, the stronger your heart will get.

5 Exercise keeps your brain healthy! Your brain is an organ that tells your body what to do. The more you exercise, the healthier your brain will be.

6 Exercise helps you sleep well! Your body needs 10 hours of sleep each night. The more you exercise, the better you will sleep.

7 Exercise keeps your body in shape! You should not be too fat or too thin. The more you exercise, the better your body will feel.

8 How much exercise do I need? Kids should be active for 30 minutes a day. During Recess In the Morning Four seasons a year! After School During Sports

9 What will happen if I DON’T Exercise? You might not have energy to play with your friends You might feel cranky and sad You might get sick more often
