5. Spiral: Training/Organization for all math classes! All vocab and notes. Grading Scale: 30% Homework; 30% Spiral; 40% Tests Homework: Some work but lots of explaining their thinking- based on completion and effort – NO BLANK ANSWERS!! Sometimes finishing up investigations started in class, some are games to play and think “strategy” Challenging your child: –Multiplication facts – if don’t know them, work on strategies –Number Sense – ask about real life numbers: sports, shopping, tax, tip, newspaper, games, cards, logic, estimating number and size, etc. – Talk Moth!!!! Curriculum: Math 6 th and 6/7 Compacted

7. Grading System 100 - 90 = A 89 - 80 = B 79 - 70 = C 69 - 60 = D 59 - 0 = F

8. HOME FUN  Assigned Daily (Including Fridays)– students should copy off the whiteboard into their planner. My Connect is a back-up  Due the next class meeting Late work accepted for partial credit* (*First trimester full credit)

My Connect My Connect allows both you and your student to keep tabs on their weekly assignments and grades. my planMy Connect can be accessed through theMeadowbrook web page or my plan To log to My plan USERNAME : Student ID Number PASSWORD : Student’s birth date To access grades on My Connect click on the “grades button” and type in the student’s login and password.
