State Standards (new) See website RESPECT, READINESS, RESPONSIBILITY and Integrity. Tribe Expectations- all students will follow the 3 R’s Consequences: 1. Warning 2. (MIR) Student conference and/or parent contact 3. Administrative referral Text Books *They are BRAND NEW!! Keep them safe at home, use for homework and notes and practice tests! Tutorial *Math Help on Tuesdays in room 14 with Mrs. Pogue. Students who have below a 70% in math will be required to come redo quizzes/tests or get missing work done.

Students need to follow directions/rules- RESPECT! We will be using them for: POM’s Math Writing Online textbook resources Videos Interactive math manipulatives Practices assessments Eventually- online assignments

Teaching Philosophy My goal and deepest desire as a teacher is to take each student where they are at and help them succeed to the very top of where they can be mathematically!! Oh, yeah- and make the process as fun as possible

Materials Needed Thank you to those who have donated
Classroom supplies!! Students are expected to bring these materials to class everyday. *School Planner *Reading book *A blue or black pen *Sharpened Pencils (at least 2) *highlighters *Red correcting pen/pencil (at least 2)*WB marker *Math Journal –70 page spiral bound notebook. *Math folder- two pocket folder **Consequences for missing materials and any of the classroom 3 R’s rules, will result in a teacher detention or lunch detention depending on severity. Parents will always be notified by phone message or . ** Please let us know if you need supplies to be given to your student because of financial hardship.

Grading HOMEWORK STANDARDS, we need YOUR help!! Homework 20% Check student’s spiral notebook everyday for stamps to see if they are up with current HW, it is assigned every night Monday-Friday unless there is a quiz. Late work: only accepted during the current unit for partial credit, must attend Tutorial. Projects/Participation: 10% Warm-ups, notes, WWW’s, and in-class projects, performance tasks, chromebook lessons Tests/Quizzes 70% Most Important! Students should be understanding each night’s assignment so they don’t fall behind. The night before a quiz or test, students need to read over all notes and examples. Go over PRACTICE Quizzes or Tests…. And ODD answers in the back of the book!!

Pre-Algebra Extension
We LOVE this class and your kids! They are so great! They ask really good questions!! Middle Level CST students (mid 3’s to low 4’s). Opportunity to really grow math skills and be successful in Algebra next year. Reinforce basic math practices – MM. Word problems, extra HW time and extra question time (leads to higher level understanding). Hands on math games and activities. Use of Chrome book computers. Separate grade book in progress.
