3. The History of the company 22 April 1958 – "Lumen „ is created. They produce bulbs and all manufacture is sold in Poland. 18 December 1961 – the company starts to export to the Soviet Union. Mid 70s – countries in the western Europe start buying the bulbs. 1976 "Lumen „ becomes first "Unitra - Polam" and then "Polam - Piła". 23 may 1991 – Philips Lighting B.V. from Holland boys 66,7% of "Polam -Piła „ shares. The name changes into Philips Lighting Poland S.A. 1992 – the products from Piła start being distributed all over the world. 1994 – the Center of Light Application is activated. Philips Lighting Poland is the leader on the Polish light market as well as the biggest producer of lighting equipment

4. LOGO or the brand mark  It has been more than 100 years in existence.  In 1926 waves and stars appeared.  In 1930 four stars and three waves were inscribed in a circle.  Since 1938 it has consisted of a circle with waves and stars, inscribed in a shield with „Philips” written across it.  In 1990 the company introduced “Let's make things better”, which acquired an excellent Polish equivalent that reads “Odkryjmy lepszy świat” (“Let's discover a better world”).  2004 – a breakthrough year, a new slogan was introduced: “Sense and Simplicity”.  The current advertising message highlights the image of the Philips brand, as a provider of innovative and friendly sollutions.
